San Juan Islands

We decided for our family vacation this year to take the boat up to the San Juan Islands. I had never been so I was so excited. We left on Friday the 16th and came home the following Monday. The weather was perfect! We boatpooled with two other boats. Darryl and Jackie, and Argola and Nancy. The first night we stayed in Deer Harbor, which I wasn't super impressed with. There wasn't really anything to do within walking distance, so we enjoyed just hanging out on the boat. The next morning we headed over to Roche Harbor. We got lunch, went to the sculpture park and watched airplanes take off and land.(Jenna was amazed). It was a much nicer dock and we had fun. Katelynn even made a jump rope, two cups and two straws out of kelp. Sunday morning we headed over to Friday Harbor. We spent the day just hanging out and enjoying everything. The kids caught some shrimp which they thought was great. Popeye, the resident seal, came around so the kids were able to feed her. All in all it was a great trip. No boat issues, great weather, and good company!!!
