Katelynn entered the reflections program for her school this year. The theme was "Together we Can..."She did two drawings. One of the ocean at sunset titled "Together we can protect our oceans". The other was of four servicemen in uniform titled "Together we can keep America free". Her ocean picture made it to the council level where she recieved a certificate and was recognized. She was a littled bummed that she didn't make it to the next level, but we are proud of her efforts.
Later that week, Katelynn recived the Student of the Month award for her school. The theme for the month was "I can be organized!" She also recieved recognition for perfect attendance in December and for her AR points. She currently has the highest in the school and is hoping to end the year with the most the school has ever had.
***AR points are points the kids get for reading. They read a book, take a test, and then get points based on the level and size of the book. Most of the books Katelynn reads average 15 points
